Mrs. Ellen Carver, 66 of Marietta, GA passed away January 31, 2014. She was born on April 5, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Sam and Nettie Viner. After her graduation from high school, Ellen attended the University of Minnesota. She enjoyed a career with Hewlett Packard and later Agilent Technologies working in many different departments. Her favorite hobby was cooking international foods and she also enjoyed sharing her knowledge of gourmet cooking while teaching co-workers and friends. Ellen also catered in her spare time for several years. Eventually, she was able to teach children at the Young Chefs Academy. Ellen was a world traveler and made friends everywhere she went. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mervyn Viner. Ellen leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Michael Carver, sons, Ross Guberman (Heidi) and Brian Guberman, daughter, Amy Guberman and sister, JoAnn Arenson. Ellen also leaves behind five grandchildren and her very special “adopted son” Ramar Navarro. A celebration of Ellen’s life will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2:00pm in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill, Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in memory of Ellen to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation,, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851. Arrangements under the direction of H.M. Patterson & Son-Canton Hill Chapel, Marietta, GA.

Our hearts pour out for the loss of Ellen, A dear friend, mother, sister and wife. She was an amazing mentor and one of the most caring, loving, entertaining and giving person that I had ever met. I pray that she is finally at peace and is looking down on us. Her ability to create unforgettable, amazing delicious creations was beyond belief. I was blessed to have met her and to have got to know her. She will forever be in my heart and soul. all the laughs, tears, good eats and unforgettable times we shared together.
