

Carl was preceded to Heaven by parents Reba “Joyce” Lyons, John B “Jack” Lyons, granddaughter Lydia Brown
Carl is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Shannon and Robert Moss, Kati and James Brown II, Jenny and Curtis Dias; son: Carlton "Leon" Lyons; grandsons: Brandon Moss, Bryan Moss, James “Trip” Brown III; granddaughter: Elizabeth “Ivy” Dias. Carl is also survived by his brother: Russell “Rusty” and Pam Lyons; niece Christy Lyons and nephew Russell "Keith" Lyons Jr. as well as many cousins.
A machinist by trade, Carl loved any opportunity to be in the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were two of his first loves. He shared his passion for the outdoors with friends and family, teaching many of them how to fish. When he was not in the outdoors, Carl loved listening to music in a range of genres from rock to country but especially loved Southern Rock.
Carl was an avid baseball fan and loved to enjoy a beer and watch the Atlanta Braves play. During college football season, he spent time rooting for Alabama- Roll Tide! He loved spending time chatting with his friends and family and spending time with his late dog, Lady and with his many cats. Carl will be deeply missed by many but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 pm.
