Frederick David Greinke, 86, of Marietta, passed away April 30, 2016. He was born March 25, 1930 to parents, Irma and Frederick Greinke, in Denison, Iowa. David graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor in horticulture. He loved working with plants, and owned his own greenhouse business. He delighted in his grandchildren who called him “Paw Paw.” David loved studying the Bible; his sister said he was the most religious man she knows. He also loved baseball, and was a Cubs fan. David was married to Betty Dora Greinke, who passed 3 years ago. He is survived by: daughter, Ann Marie Greinke, of Marietta; son, Thomas David Greinke, of Greenville, SC; sister, Carolyn Stenberg, of Hawaii; and grandchildren, Jacob, Shannon, and Dane Greinke, all of Greenville, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the ChildFund International, www.childfund.org. A memorial service celebrating David’s life will be conducted on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00PM at Faith Lutheran Church, Marietta, GA.
