Henry Larry Crosby was born on August 22, 1935 in Perry, Georgia to John Q. “Red” Crosby and Nannette Crosby, and died on April 27, 2021 in Marietta, Georgia. Larry grew up in Byron, Georgia on Academy Street with his sister Nann Crosby Purvis. He graduated from Byron High School, and attended Georgia Southern. He was a member of the Byron United Methodist Church. He was married to the love of his life, Helen Woodall of Taylor County, Georgia for 38 years.
He is survived by his son, Michael Larry Crosby and Mike’s wife Apple Crosby, daughter Debbie Crosby Pelerose and her husband Ron Pelerose, niece Nancy Head and her husband Dana Head, nephews John and Lawrence Purvis, grandchildren Drew Crosby, his wife Jessica Crosby, grandsons Justin Pelerose Adam Pelerose, Ken Tuntiansin and Phum Tuntiansin, and one great grandchild, Calvin Crosby.
He is predeceased by his parents, Nannette and John Q. Crosby, his beloved wife, Helen, who passed away in 1995, sister Nann Crosby Purvis and her husband, Dr. Carol Purvis, niece and nephews Christina Wofford, Clifton Wofford and Nicholas Wofford.
The family will receive visitors at HM Patterson & Sons Funeral Home at 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta, Georgia 30068, where the celebration of life services will be held. The family will receive visitors on Monday, May 3, 2021 at HM Patterson Funeral Home from 5 pm to 8 pm, and the celebration of life services will be on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 11 a.m., officiated by Chaplain Polson Poulose. The graveside service will be at the Byron City Cemetery in Byron, Georgia at 3 p.m. on May 4, 2021. Larry’s grandsons will serve as pall bearers.
