Harriet G Kenny

Harriet G Kenny of Woodstock, GA passed away February 12, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 1, 1927 to the late Edward and Gertrude Crooks as a twin sister to her sister the late Rosemary. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in 1945. She was married to her husband Daniel J Kenny at St Patrick's RC Church in Brooklyn on April 28, 1951. The couple settled in South Plainfield NJ and raise their six children. She was predeceased by two of her daughters first Maureen of Apopka FL and then Jeanmarie Yaun of Marietta Ga. She is survived by Joan Varkoly of Smyrna Ga, Dan Jr of South Plainfield NJ, Patrick of South Plainfield and Tim of Bridgewater NJ. She took care of her six children and worked in various part time jobs in South Plainfield including the John F Kennedy School, The Garden of Paper and Ahearst Labs part of Wyeth. She attended church faithfully with her husband and six children. She also help raise her 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. . A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00am at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, Marietta, GA followed by a repast lunch. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. On Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:45am there will be a memorial mass at Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759 followed by interment in the All Saints Chapel.
