Herman Garrard McGinnis Jr., age 66, of Roswell, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Herman was born October 20, 1954 to Herman Garrard McGinnis Sr. and Virginia Brannon McGinnis. He graduated from Berry College with a degree in finance and later receive a MBA from Brenan University. He was employed by 3M. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, traveling, reading and gardening. In Garrard's younger years, he enjoyed scuba diving and had his private pilots license.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christine McGinnis and their daughter, Amelia McGinnis. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Tilly and brother-in-law, Bob Tilly, sister Maryann McGinnis; sister-in-law Lisa Wheeler and brother-in-law, Tim Wheeler. Nieces and Nephews; Genevieve Deville, Ian Deville, Elizabeth Wheeler, Malachi Wheeler, Brantley Wheeler, Sora Wheeler and JJ Wheeler.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at H. M. PATTERSON and Son Canton Hill Funeral Home from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 30, 11:00 am, St. Ann Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062.
