Hettie S. Eden, 91, formerly of Marietta, GA died February 3, 2016 in Carrollton, GA. She was a long time member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, R.E. “Scotty” Eden. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Smith and her husband Richard of Carrollton, GA.; grandchildren, Joshua S. Smith and his wife Renee of Kennesaw, GA, and Sara Hunkler and her husband Shane of Temple, GA; brother, James H. Smith of Victoria, VA and Sisters, Frances Johnson of Prince Frederick, MD, Joanne Munson of Acworth, GA and Rose Marie Waldrep of Boydton, VA. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30068. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the reception at Georgia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church.
