Jack A Wilson

Mr. Jack A. Wilson, 94, of Marietta, GA went peacefully to his eternal home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, surrounded by his loving daughters and a dear friend. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013, 11:00 am in the chapel of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. Jack was born March 13, 1919 in Carroll County, GA. He was one of six children born to William O. and Daisey Barron Wilson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Edna McGriff Wilson and his daughter, Sharon Goldsmith. He served in the Navy in World War II and then worked at Anderson McGriff Lumber Company until his retirement at age 62. Jack loved life. He loved His Lord, he loved Edna and he loved his family. Left to cherish his memory are daughters Barbara Buchtel, Miriam Wilson, and Linda Schwak, son-in-law, Ron Goldsmith, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnson Ferry Baptist Missions, 955Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta GA 30068, AG Rhodes Health and Rehab Cobb 900 Wylie Rd, Marietta GA 30067, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at HM Patterson, Canton Hill. Arrangements under the direction of H.M.
