In Jim's ninety-one years, he was a firm believer in Science. His career as a Nuclear Chemist took him all over the world. He was a lover of cycling and tennis and even enjoyed these well into his 80s. He also enjoyed tending to his gardens at his home. Jim was very interested in steam locomotives and enjoyed traveling by train.
Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Corbett; daughter, in laws, Annette and Julia; and many family members in England.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Greg) Nickell; son, Graeme Corbett; very special friend, Sandy Brock; and many friends to cherish his memory.
There is not a memorial service planned at this time, however, as we reflect on the life of James A. Corbett, keep in mind the quote from Paulo Coelho, who stated: “The landscape changes, the people change, our needs change, but the train keeps moving. Life is the train, not the station.”
HM Patterson Canton Hill is honored to serve the Corbett family during this difficult time.
