She was born on July 10, 1926 in Jamaica, New York to the late William and Jane Forrest. Jane was a talented artist and attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Her favorite mediums to work with were charcoals and oil paint. She was also an avid reader, often reading 3 books a week. Her favorite genre was mysteries. Jane retired from Lockheed-Martin as a CAD Illustrator. She was proud of her Scottish heritage and was able to visit Scotland twice. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who left a legacy to her family that will endure for generations to come. Jane was proud to be the matriarch of her family. She was respected for her beliefs and cherished for her compassion. Jane will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Edward Brace Terrill. Jane leaves behind her son, William Terrill; daughters, April Haynes, Adrienne Kimbrell (Donald) and Joy Murphy; grandchildren, Kimberly, Tara (Raymond), Tiffany, Jennifer (Timothy), Jason, Shane and Alex; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Andrew, Skylar, Savannah, Kyle and Sylas.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 12-2pm at H.M. Patterson Canton Hill Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Reverend Paul Horn of Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church to officiate. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs.
