Born to Fannie and Louis Buderman on January 20, 1953, Janelle was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated from White Station High School before attending the University of Tennessee. A lifelong creative spirit who never shied away from a challenge, Janelle worked in advertising, accounting, and interior design, before transitioning into her second career as a loving mother of two. Her passion for golf, mah jongg, and visual art were well known. Her "World's Greatest Googler" title was indeed well-earned. She leaves behind an indelible legacy in her daughters, Ginger and Abbe, and with her two grandchildren.
Janelle is survived by Randy Vallen, loving mother of Ginger Vallen (Tim Eberle) and Abbe Vallen Roth (Billy Roth), devoted grandmother of Mate Theodore Eberle (3 years) and Landon Grant Roth (6 weeks) and caring sister to Sonya Batten, Helene Urbaitel, and Arlyn Singer.
Funeral service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Rabbi Steven Lebow officiating. A private shiva is taking place for family and friends.
May her memory be for a blessing. Let this day be a great remembrance of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
