Janice Curran Vincent, age 85, devoted wife to Charles Vincent for sixty-one years, Janice went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2025. Daughter of the late, Edgar and Janet Curran, Janice was born on July 15, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia.
A radiant presence in every room, Janice was her family’s greatest cheerleader—always encouraging, always hopeful. An optimistic soul, she celebrated life daily and inspired those around her to do the same. Her keen artistic spirit expressed itself beautifully through singing, China painting, cooking, and quilting.
Janice hand painted China radiated fragile elegance—each finely painted petals reflecting her gentle and artistic soul.
Janice delighted in nurturing her sons’ talents in the kitchen, teaching them the warmth that food can bring.
Her hands stitched magic into fabric. One of her most cherished creations was a quilt she handcrafted for the 1996 Olympic Games. Its beauty caught the attention of the Olympic Committee, which chose to present it to Switzerland—a tremendous honor that spoke to Janice’s artistry and dedication.
Grounded in faith, Janice’s heart for God was visible in everything she did. As a beloved member of the Mt. Paran Church of God’s choir, she lifted spirits and voices in worship. She faithfully visited nursing home residents, offering companionship and prayers. With generosity and grace, she opened her home to teach neighborhood children about the Word of God, sharing Bible stories and prayerful wisdom.
Proudly affiliated with the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Janice honored her heritage. Her life was one of active devotion—devotion to faith and to family.
Her warm heart, vibrant creativity, and steadfast faith touched countless lives.
She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in every quilt patch that gathers stories, in every song that uplifts, in every prayer offered for another’s peace. May her light continue to shine through those she loved and taught.
Janice is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Charles Vincent; sons, Kennedy (Anne), Michael (Karen), Brit (Kelley), and Sam; six grandchildren, one great grandson, and extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.
Friends are cordially invited for a visitation between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm at HM Patterson Canton Hill Chapel on June 30, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm. Immediately following the service, a procession will be led by an escort to her final resting place in Georgia Memorial Park.
