Jo Pettett

Mrs. Jo McPherson Pettett, age 78, of Marietta, passed away June 24 and is now at rest after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease and CBD. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who despite a busy real estate career that she loved, she was always there in person to support her family at their many activities. Jo’s beauty, compassion, energy, honor, honesty, love and peaceful demeanor will be missed by all.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 59 years, Tom Pettett; son, Randall (Robbie) Pettett; son, Robert Pettett (Paula); daughter, Donna Bramlett (Bruce); sisters, Eve Steer; Syble Barnes (Lamar); brothers, Johnny McPherson (Brenda); Paul McPherson; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren ; brother-in-law, Charles Pettett (Barbara); sister-in-law, Brenda Oxford (Earl); Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Esther McPherson; Father, Aubrey McPherson; brother, Jack McPherson (Peggy); sister, Martha Page (Randall), great-granddaughter Abigail Pettett.

The family will receive friends at the Georgia Memorial Funeral Home at Georgia Memorial Park, 2000 Cobb Parkway, Marietta on June 25 with visitation between 5 until 9 pm at the funeral home.

A private ceremony for the family will be held 9:30 am on June 26 at the same location as the visitation. No graveside service.
