Early in life, Joan graduated from Oakknoll School of the Holy Child and Katherine Gibbs secretarial school and worked for Spring Hills Inc.
Joan enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren and loved being a stay at home mother. She also enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, cake decorating, and singing. She was also very strong in her faith and enjoyed volunteering at The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta, Georgia.
Joan is preceded in death by her spouse of 57 years, James Tuite and sister, Stephanie Parsons.
She is survived by sons, James Tuite Jr. (Sherie Novotny); Daughters, Roberta Musheno (Mike), Jeanne Tuite, Donna Tuite and Lauren Tuite; sisters, Mary Doyle (Tom) and Barbara Donohoe (Bob); Grandchildren, Theresa Feeney (Mike), Kevin Musheno (Brynn), Mary Musheno (Dave Fabrizio), Steve Musheno (Katie O’Shea), Ann Musheno (Alex Cardile), Kristin Sheaffer, Patrick Sheaffer, Michael Sheaffer and Catherine Tuite; Great Grandchildren, Avery Feeney, Hannah Musheno, Otto Musheno, Dylan Feeney, and Nicholas Musheno and a baby soon to arrive.
The family will receive guests for a visitation between the hours of 5pm and 8pm on
January 18, 2024 at HM Patterson Canton Hill, Marietta, Georgia. A funeral mass will be held on January 19, 2024 at 11am at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, Marietta, Georgia.
