Joan Watkins age 80, of Kennesaw, GA passed away at her residence on Sunday June 1, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with rev. Jerry Johnson and Rev. Joey Postell officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Watkins is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-Law, Guy and Vicki, Dane and Vickie, and Doug and Beth Watkins. 6 grandchildren, Keely Watkins Hackney,Brandon Watkins, Brianne Watkins Wishon, Jamey Watkins, Jake Watkins, and Julia Watkins. 2 Great grandchildren, Asa Hackney and Mila Hackney. 2 brothers, Tony and David Whitmore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Watkins. 2 brothers, Jimmy and Charles (Dink) Whitmore and 2 sisters, Betty Godfrey and Pam Williams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June, 3, 2014 from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Assc.
