Pickerel, John "Scott," Jr., age 68, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. A family viewing will be held at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home in Mr. Pickerel's hometown of Florence, South Carolina on Thursday, January 12th at 11:00 AM, followed by prayers and interment at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville at noon. Mr. Pickerel retired from an enjoyable career in the practice of law and was very devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife Michelle, mother Elizabeth, daughter Anna, and daughter and son-in-law Sara and Matt, all of the Atlanta area.
