I know there's no celebration in heaven, especially a day like today when here on earth people celebrate Father's Day.  Today,  I will celebrate "Happy husband's Day"  because you were a #1.🌷

Its been 9 years since we burried you.  However we talk about you on a daily basis because we want the generation you didn't get to know to know who grampa was.  They call you Papa, and enjoy asking ❓ about you.  While we  talk they stared at your picture.

( Jaidie's kid).  The new addition to the family is Jrew.  He's  your great grand child.  (Erielle's son).

My favorite show is little Einstein’s. I know that you are my grandpa. I started school this year. I’m in head start. I know how to write my name and all my letters with the sounds. I love to eat, mommy told me you would have loved that. I also love to help mommy cook in the kitchen. I wish I could have met you but I know a lot of stories and they are funny. I love you.

Almost 10 years dad. 9 years ago yesterday we layed your body to rest. Malachi walks around asking about his “welo” as he lovingly learned to call you. I miss you daily. Everyone is so big now. Jamille is 22, Micaela is 20, Jeshua is 16 and graduates HS next year and Sam is 14. Your memory and love is seen in them daily. I wish you were here to see all of their accomplishments but I know you would have been proud. I love you.

7 years later and still missing you, like if it happened yesterday.

Hi grandpa. It’s been awhile, there’s so much that has happened. I graduated highschool. I have a new little brother and you would totally love him. He is such a happy baby and loves music not to mention FOOD! This year was a little harder for me. I think it’s because I’m becoming an adult and I’m starting to begin my life and realizing what you’re not gonna be here for. You’re not going to see me graduate college or get married or have a family and see me become successful. However I can’t sit here and think like that. You wouldn’t want me to think sad or negative. I believe in my heart you’d want me to know that you’re always with me and protecting me. I’ve been through so much these past 2 1/2 years and honestly you helped me get through them. You use to tell me to breathe and relax. I miss you grandpa and I love you so much♥️

Hi dad, 7 whole years without you. 7 years without your smile, your infectious laughs, your corny jokes that you would only laugh at but we would laugh because of your laugh. 7 years without you telling just breath or it’s time to say goodnight to the night. 7 whole years without you having my back! I miss you like crazy. The best thing that came out of these 7 years is knowing that the day you left me there were no regret. I didn’t have a thought of I could have or should have of anything because I told you daily that I loved you, even that day. You told me daily that you loved me, that I was beautiful, that I was your trophy. I can’t express more on how I wish you were here to meet your 3 new grandchildren and your greats too. You would have enjoyed all of them so much. So much laughter and joy they all have. And they are all so happy. Malachi wakes up with a smile on his face, all teeth, and always ready to eat. Daddy today it marks 6 years since you left earth. I've accomplished so much since then. You have a new grandson, his name is Malachi Amir. You would have been in love with as you were with the rest of my kids. He’s happy and always smiling and laughing, so I know you would be doing all kids of stuff to see him smile. He also loves to eat!!! 
I have fallen so many times wishing you were the to hold your hand out. Having to get up on my own brush myself off. Missing you daily, wanting to talk to you. Never realizing until you were gone that I came to you to sort out my thoughts all the time. It's been 6 years but I can play it in my mind as if it were yesterday. This never stops hurts, it just gets easier to deal with. I still cry about the huge part of me you took when you left but I still can laugh with everything you did leave me. This is Samuel Jose, your baby grandchild.  I am 10 years old now, and in the fourth grade.  I really miss you taking me to the store to buy me all kinds of candy.  I wish you were here but grandma said that when God calls the people they have to go.  God called you and you left but I really miss you.    I love you forever Grandpa.

I went to your place the other day. I finally went by myself with Jeshua.  I was always afraid of getting lost.  I will be there soon.  Time to change the flowers.

Se cerró otro capítulo sin ti.  Jamille's High School Graduation.  She looked beautiful as ever!  Your Jammie as you sweetly used to called her, by the grace of God is on the way to begin a new stage in her life.  On the way to Pre-Med College.  You surely did a terrific Job!!!

So Jamille's prom was Saturday and Dad... she looked amazing. Her grade point average is 3.8 and has 4 colleges waiting for to take her ACT and SAT so that they can accept her. Next step is graduation and it kills me that you won't be there physically to cheer her on with me and say go ahead baby. I am proud and super emotional with this entire process I love and miss you dad.

Ya Jamille is about to graduate from High School.  Her Prom was on Saturday.  She was just beautiful.  Your baby is about to be 18.  She is beginning College in August.  Time has passed so fast.  Missing you still...

Today January 27, 2017, the calendar marks one more year since you left.  In a marriage we never know who is leaving first.  This time it was you.  You left this world to live in a much better one.  I know you will always live in the world of our hearts.   We all remembered you,  your laughter and your jokes with deep love.  We never forget those whom we deeply loved.

Today i woke up in panic. I felt as if something was missing. Getting in the car with magda i felt as if i was leaving something behind. Dad when you left you took a piece of me with you and when this time comes around I can feel the difference.

Dad!!! Jamille turned 16 yesterday!!! It's crazy to think that 16 years passed so fast. She is beautiful inside and out. Her grades are still beautiful. Her heart is still beautiful. She is a good girl with plans on becoming greater!! Soon she'll graduate HS. She had one more year after this. Her plans are to go to Valdosta University of she wants to stay close but she had several of choices. We miss you dad.  More then anyone can possibly imagine. Ttys

I am so happy because the Dignity Memorial Staff are awesome.  They are giving us a memorial gift.  Your book will stay open for ever, and we don't have to pay..... What a beautiful gift.  We will all have a book to write about all the things we used to talk when you were here with us.  We all really miss talking to you daily, and the worse of all we miss hearing you laughing.   No one day goes by without mentioning your name.  Today the kids saw a lobster on television and said "if grandpa was here I am sure we will already know how to fish.  Jajaja. Remember when something broke down they used to say "bring it to grandpa ... He is the fixer... You were their idol.... This is why they can't stop talking about grandpa....

It makes me sad to know that this book is coming to an end. I love writing here because it kibd of gives me an outlet to talk to you. To say all the things i would to you on a daily basis if you were alive. I often miss you dad and i constantly think about you. Its really hard without you  around. Without your daily phone calls. I never complained of you calling me 15 times a day. The kids didn't either. I didn't mind picking up that phone and talking about the same thing over abd over. I loved pur conversations and our laughs. I miss you. And I will have to find a place to continue writing to you. Love you...

Today makes 2 years since you left. I can not tell you how much I love you like i usually did everyday but I am happy that you knew and that 2 years ago today I was able to tell you. I never really realized how much you influeced me and people around me. I am constantly saying things that you would and it comes out naturally. Well theres a lot that you are missing. I recently had weightloss surgery and lost over 20lbs already. I am also starting to plan Jamille's sweet sixteen. It ultimately makes me sad that you won't be there and I also know if you were here her sweet sisxteen would have no limits. You would give her everything she wanted for her day and dad I will try my best to do the same because you know it's only me and the kids now. So this event will be in my shoulders. I am happy that God chose you to be my dad when he did because you were the best at it. Miss you Moppy!!!!

My dear husband, friend and eternal lover, as you used to call me....Today is been 2 years since you left this life for a better one.  My heart still beating fast and my mind still puzzled of confusion because I still don't understand what went wrong on that day.  In 48 years we went through many hardship, but letting you go has been the worse.    Loneliness fills my mind and my heart at times, but having Jesus in my life brings me back to reality.  Him and his Holy Word have become everything to me.   I must praise Jesus until I go home to be with The Lord.  That's what makes me complete.  I was born to praise Him...

Our last grandson to Josè and Magdalena was born yesterday February 22, 2015.  His name is Sebastian. Here is a picture of Magda and her huge belly.

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.

Second Christmas without you.  All by myself. Second New Year without you.  All alone. I guess it will be like that until I am gone as well.

This is the second Thanksgiving since we came here to Georgia. I need to move on.  Life hasn't been easy since you left.  I am still missing you dearly.

I had a weird dream last night with you.  In the dream I never saw you.  I was with Dawn in a place.  Suddenly the phone was ringing.  I heard a loud crowd.  After talking you told me that you needed to talk to Dawnny.   You asked her to talk to the people you had gathered on the other side.    Suddenly she began to minister to them.  Then she prayed for them and asked them to repeat the sinner's prayer.  Even on the other side where we were standing it was super powerful.  Lots and lots of people accepted Jesus.  Then I woke up..... It was funny because you did what you used to do in life.  Talk to people and send them to church.  Or always giving out my CD's from the car.  I remember the old lady the Pastor baptized in her bathtub because you said she wanted to be baptized.  Her daughter Lupe told me the other day.

Oh... I have some good news to share.  You are going to be a grandfather and a great-grandfather again.  Jose & Magda are having a boy ... Ciara is having a girl and Milena is having a boy ...

SamJoe is learning about the Presidents in school;  and came to ask me if you knew Thomas Jefferson ... Then he asked me ... Grandma were you a slave?  That was really funny.  When I asked him why, he said because all the blacks were slaves.  That was reallyyyyyyy funny.  He always makes me laugh.

Grandpa. I am 15 now.  I received my Driver's Permit yesterday.  I wish you were here.  My Mom is teaching me how to drive. I hope to do good. I promise.

I miss your morning coffee.  Finally I cooked your morning breakfast "funche con gingambò y bacalao."  Se me olvidaba, tambien aguacate.  Jajaja y ayer cosinè viandas con bacalao y aguacate.  Tonterías Mias .... Se que Una vez la persona se va de este mundo ni ve, ni lye, ni escucha nada.  Solo escribo Porque siempre estoy sola.  Ya dije que no voy a llorar mas.... Pero la Soledad hace a uno DECIR tonterias ... Y esta es una de ellas.  Pensè que quedandome aqui en Georgia iba a estar mas acompañada pero nada .... Es peor.... Que cosa ... Me siento sola.  Te fuiste a Los 73 años y tal parece que fue ayer.  Te echo muchisimo de menos..... En casa si no estabamos en el cuarto sabía que podía ir a la cosina y te encontraba o cosinando, o leyendo tu periodico.   Aquí nada....Todos los dias te recuerdo o hay algo, o cosa que hago yo misma que me hacen recordarte.  Ayer SammyJoe tenia que ir vestido a la escula de Cowboy.  Si lo hubieras visto con tu sombrero.  Quería usarlo para parecerse a grandpa.  Fue un sentimiento agri dulce cuando abri la puerta y lo ví.  Bueno ... Todo llega a su fin.

Yesterday was SammyJoe's birthday. He is 7 now and very smart. He loves school.  I bought him a scooter, and he said if you were here he would know how to ride it already.  He was amazed to find one gray hair on my head.  He asked me if I was getting old.  We all miss you very much.

I've been thinking about you lately and I've never realized how much you truly influenced me in so many ways. Not a day passes by that i do not recite something you used to tell us. Not one day passes by the the children say or sing something of yours. I sit in my school bus everyday and think of you only because there's this young boy on my bus that plays all oldies and then a song that you would sing comes up and I smile while he looks at me. Thank you. Grateful for many things but most grateful to know that the day you were having that heart attack on my couch i got to tell you that I love you just a couple of minutes before and that you got to tell me that I will always be your babyanf you took care of me when i was born. I love you mopi!!!

We finally finished your burial grave ground.  I am very happy with the way it looks. We took beautiful pictures next to it.  Even if no one else goes there,  we will try to go every chance we get.  Perhaps monthly to clean it.

Un año y medio hace que mi esposo Josè nos dejò. Un año y medio en el cual no he dejado ni un dia de pensar en el.  Aveces me pregunto si esto serà normal.  Bueno pero el dia 30 de Junio buscando una informacion en in flash drive me encontrè con la sorpresa de los retratos y videos del funeral.  Estaba sola pero me llenè de valor y entre nervios y làgrimas logrè verlos todos.  Fue como un aliciente. No habia llegado al cierre de ese càpitulo de mi vida.  Fueron 48 años de matrimonio. No fueron todos color de rosa, pero no me puedo quejar. Siempre me amò a mi y a su familia.  Dios es grande.  A pesar de que todo pasò muy rapido y derepente Dios estuvo siempre presente.  No me permitiò pasar por este trago amargo sola.

It's still hard to accept the fact that you're gone. I miss you dearly. Words still cannot explain. You are a huge impact in my life, and you've taught me many things. There is nothing I would change about our relationship. Our conversations and things you've said still play over in my head, and every time it makes me smile. You make me smile. The words can not amount to how much I truly miss you. I think of you everyday and there is nothing around me that does not remind me of you. I can tell you this I cry less and laugh more now. Fijate Jose, no pude cerrar el libro sin ver el retrato de tu tumba completa con tù nombre, fecha de nacimiento y la fecha de cuando te fuistes de nuestro lado.  Ya gracias a Dios terminè de pagarla completa y la mandèa  hacer.  Es muy bonita.  La hice con el nombre de los dos.  Tambien en recuerdo de tù padre Don Pascual Soto, dice al final "Buena es la Buena Memoria"

Para mi nietecita Elyanna grandpa esta aqui todavia.  Desde que comenzò a hablar me llama grandpa.  Hi, grandpa ... asi me dice cuando llega y cuando se va.  A principio le decia grandma para que  se acostumbrara ... pero todavia me llama grandpa.  Se oye gracioso.  Dios bendiga a Elyanna.

Jose Manuel Soto siempre té recordare porqué eras una persona muy especial por muchas cosas. Cuando iba a la escuela ps105 con Milka tú esposa a chequear Jose  , siempre los veía abrazados como si fueran novios.Cuando salíamos del instituto un poco tarde usted estaba abajo preocupado. José gracias por ese amor tan grande que sentía por mi amiga una persona que admiro y quiero . Nos ensenaste que el amor existe para siempre . Fui testigo de un amor verdadero. No té olvidaré. La última vez que té vi fue tres semanas después de la tormenta sandy, hablamos un poquito, té dije Dtb, té di un besito y me despedir..No sabía que iba ser la última vez.
