Joseph graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA in 1984, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 from The University of Massachusetts Boston. He worked as Claims Assistant for RSUI Group.
Joseph enjoyed sports, particularly football and basketball and was an avid Georgia Bull Dogs fan. He coached his son's teams and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Madelene Hill Artis; and his father Joseph Cabbeson Artis.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Mardell Nicole Artis; sons Dylan Joseph Artis, Isaiah Hill Artis, and Greyson David Artis; cousins Katrina LaTrell Minix and Anthony DePaul Hill; and a host of family and friends.
A private celebration honoring Joseph's life will take place on Sunday, July 27th, 2025. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this time.
