Karen Dimmitt, age 85, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1938 to the late Joseph "Joe" Lester Ziegler and Opal Pruella Mische Ziegler. She graduated from high school and during her working career she was an office administrator/receptionist for the State of Kansas. She is survived by her loving son, Tad A. Dimmitt of Marietta, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joe and Opal Zeigler, she is also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gordon Dimmitt and brother, Joseph Dimmitt.
In her spare time, Karen enjoyed watching television such great shows as Ghost Stories, True Crime, History Channel, Science Fiction, Sci Fyi, and the news. An avid card player, she enjoyed solitary along with other games when able. A private service to honor her life will be arranged for a later date.
