Kathy Pearsall Mraz

Kathy Pearsall Mraz, 65, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on July 10, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on November 15, 1959, in Huntington, NY, the daughter of Margaret Reinert Pearsall and William Wright Pearsall. Kathy was a graduate of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, earning her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. Kathy lived in Chicago post-graduation before ultimately moving to Georgia, where she would start her family and continue her career.

Kathy, for the last ten years, served as Chief Accounting Officer and Executive Vice President at Preferred Capital Securities. She was an extraordinary businesswoman who loved her work and those she worked with as a second family. Kathy was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, GA. She was a prayer warrior, teaching others to never give up or lose faith. She enjoyed to garden, watch birds fly in her yard, and cheer on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Kathy loved to spend quality time with her family, especially Thanksgiving trips to Hilton Head where she was surrounded by her parents, brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews. However, her greatest pride and joy was being a mother to her two children, Margaret and Joseph.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Wright Pearsall (2018); mother, Margaret Reinert Pearsall (2024); and nephew, Parker Matthew Kane (1998). She is survived by her two children, Margaret Elizabeth Mraz and Joseph Sawyer Mraz; brothers, Brian William Pearsall (Martha) and Steven Wright Pearsall (Karen); sister, Susan Pearsall Kane (Christopher), and ten nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:30pm, at H.M. Patterson & Son - Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd, NE, Marietta, GA 30068. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy Street, NW, Marietta, GA 30060 on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy, NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
