Lawrence Eldon Gilberton, Sr., a Vietnam war Veteran was born March 24, 1942 to Fredrick and Ruth Gilbertson in Ontonagon Michigan. He passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014. He served in the Air Force and Georgia National Guard for over 22 years. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda J. Scott Gilbertson, son Larry E. Gilbertson, daughter-in-law Julie Banks Gilbertson, grandson Austin Connor Gilbertson, daughter Cynthia D. Gilbertson, brother Fred Gilbertson, sister Eleanor Bittner, brother Tom Gilbertson and sister-in-law Wanda Gilbertson. As well as numerous cousins, in-laws, nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00, Friday, June 6th, 2014, at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA, 30060. His funeral service will be at 3:00 o’clock, Saturday, June 7th, 2014, in the Georgia Memorial Park chapel. Interment will full military honors, will be on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
