

Roy was born on June 11th, 1942, in Antigua, West Indies. At the age of 20, he immigrated to the United States, where he built a life through hard work, determination, and dedication to family. He enjoyed a successful career in the hospitality industry, serving as a Food and Beverage Manager with the Loews Hotel Corporation.
Roy was a kind, compassionate, and hardworking man who took great pride in caring for his family and home. He enjoyed gardening, keeping things neat and organized, watching television, and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees.
While living in New York City, Roy met the love of his life, Caroline. Together they shared 49 years of marriage, building a loving family and creating countless cherished memories.
For the past eight years, Roy courageously battled multiple myeloma with strength, dignity, and grace. In 2020, Roy and Caroline relocated to Georgia, where he spent his final years surrounded by family and loved ones.
Roy leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Caroline Ford; his children, Leroy Ford Jr. and Louisa Cox; his daughter-in-law, Janelle Ford; his son-in-law, Terry Cox; his grandchildren, Jordan Ford, Jaylee Ford, Nia Cox, and Karissa Cox; his sisters, Helen Harris, Sharane Wakins, and Jennese Yildiz; his brothers, Alico O'Garro, George Dunning, and Jerome Simon; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Roy's legacy of love, hard work, kindness, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
