

Linda Beckler Jackson was born on November 2, 1942, in Epworth, Georgia. She was the third child of Robert Paul and Ethel Thomas Beckler. She attended West Fannin High School, graduating in 1960. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia Baptist Hospital Nursing School, where she graduated in 1963. While in Atlanta, she met David Jackson on a blind date. They became engaged on a bench in Piedmont Park and were married in Epworth on September 27, 1963.
Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, David Jackson; her daughter, Julie Jackson, husband Philip Hu and daughters, Mallory and Sarah Hu; her daughter, Jennifer Jackson Wilson, husband Danny Wilson, and sons, Wyeth and Eli Wilson; Danny’Wilson Williams and son, Lukas Wilson; her son, Todd Douglas Jackson, wife Kim Jackson, daughter Colette and son, Colin Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two sister-in-laws, Lina Beckler Paulson (Max) and Peggy Beckler (Jerry). Her parents, Ethel and Robert Beckler and siblings, Max Beckler, Sadie Howell (Jim) and Jerry Beckler preceded her in death.
Linda was an avid gardener and maintained a beautiful backyard garden up until months before her passing. She was also a skilled seamstress and made many of her dresses and her daughters’’ throughout her life. She will always be remembered for hosting large Thanksgiving and other holiday gatherings where she made most of the food herself. She was an excellent hostess!
She was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren, making sure to select the perfect gift for every birthday and finding ways to stay connected to them.
Linda will be remembered for her beautiful Southern accent and sweet voice.
