Louis “Lou” Sharp, age 80, of Marietta, passed away November 9, 2012. Lou was the owner of A Unique Sleep Shops for many years, and prior to that, he was employed at Royal Mattress. He served in the US Army and was a member of Temple Kol Emeth. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Sharp and Lori Hilgemann.
He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Peggy Sharp, Marietta; daughter, Heidi Kennedy, Woodstock; son, Stanley Sharp, Atlanta; grandson Bryce Hilgemann; sister, Shelley (Mike) David, Baltimore; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, at 1:00 PM in H. M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel, Rabbi Stephen Lebow officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Sunday 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
