Born to Homer and Clara Brown Dec. 25, 1929 in Minneola, FL and subsequently raised in Colbert, GA. Lunette was a waitress for many years at The Marietta Fruit Company and later worked and retired from KSU where she initially worked in the cafeteria as the grill cook and later in the vending department. After the passing of Luther West, her husband of 49 years she returned to work as a Special ED bus monitor in Cobb County, a job she truly loved and due to health reasons had to retire from at the age of 79. Not one to be idle she continued to manage her own household, including cutting her own grass up to the summer of 2018! Lunette spent her life loving, caring and going above and beyond for her family.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, and her brother, Homer Brown Jr.
She is survived by her children; Wayne (Sandra) West, Jerry West, Wanda (John) Hulsey, Melissa West (Tommy Bell).
Grandchildren; Alicia (David) Metcalf, Chris (Jennie) West, Nicole West (Brian Bishop), Nick (Jessica) West, Dylan Clift, Spencer Clift, Heather Staples and Jake Bell.
Great-grandchildren; Deacon, Dawson and Emma Metcalf, Cole and Kai West, Angel Crawford, Felicity and Asher West and Jackson West.
A sister Melba Fields of Colbert, GA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Feb. 2 at 2 PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with services conducted by grandson Chris West. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 12 until 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
