Mrs. Powell was born the daughter of Herbert Guy and Lilly Jones, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Mr. Zachary Powell, sons Gary Lynn Powell and Danny Wayne Powell. She is survived by her son, Ray Hayes Powell and wife Patricia; daughter, Judy Ann Powell; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Gladson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
