Marie Elrod

Mrs. Marie Elrod, age 85, of Dallas ,GA, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Albery Elrod. Marie is survived by her son; Danny Elrod of Commerce, GA, son; Wayne Elrod(Lynn) of Cartersville, GA, daughter; Jackie Elrod-Roberts-Henderson(Jack) of Powder Springs, GA, brothers; Sam & Buddy Waldron, sisters; Betty Hamby; Frances Williams; Linda McLeroy; Sandra Lowden, grandsons; Bill Roberts(Holly); David Roberts (Jenna), Granddaughter; Donna Bruce(Josh), and 4 great grandchildren. She was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA for over 50 years, and was a current member at Calvary Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. Marie believed in the power of missionary work and supported that throughout her lifetime. Her children remember her as a loving mother who always carried a bible and a big stick! Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Waldron, Rev. Buddy Waldron, and Rev. Snyder Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home.
