I will miss Mark. I began working with him when MET first launched and we were both on the same district support team. He was gifted with an unparalleled wit and sense of humor. When describing Mark to others, I say when beginning a conversation with Mark, you will be met with a witty reply likely to leave you unable to respond to with anything other than a grin. He was also a genuinely decent and kind person who did the right thing and looked out for and cared for others. I pray for his family and know that this world is a little less bright with him not in it. God bless you and keep you, my friend. 

My deepest sympathies to Mark’s family.  I had the pleasure of working with Mark for several years and he never ceased to make me laugh.  Mark loved his job and family, which was evident in everything he did.  May you find comfort in the memoties and impact Mark had on us.

As a founding member of MET Mark had impeccable recall of historical MET stuff that he would help me with, always bringing humor no matter the circumstance.   I shall miss his exuberant antics yet cherish great times and memories of our time working together.  May God wrap His loving arms around Mark and bless him beyond measure.   

I had the pleasure of working for and with Mark for 7 years and I was deeply saddened when I heard about the passing of him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this challenging time. We are losing someone that I, and many members of the Home Depot family, admires and respects. Mark played a significant role in shaping my life and career. His dedication, guidance, and unwavering support, plus his humor and wisdom have influenced mine and many associates' personal and professional development. His passion and commitment to his work have inspired countless individuals, and his memory will continue to inspire and motivate others for years to come. The Home Depot family and I will cherish the memories we all share together. 

While going through photos to find one that accurately represents Mark, I came across this Midsouth Regional Supplier Event picture from 2016. I love this as Mark is right in the middle up front leading the crowd. I was blessed to know Mark through our 20+ year orange journeys at The Home Depot. Mark was always a great partner that would tell you like it is. His impression on those he came in contact with over the years will continue to live on. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this most difficult time. #OrangeFamily

Our hearts are so heavy over Mark’s passing, particularly for his amazing kids.  Both my husband and I had the pleasure of working with Mark for many years.  When he came into the building, he had a serious, no nonsense expression on his face, which would quickly erode into a big grin.  I can’t think of a time he was around that I wasn’t laughing.

When my oldest turned 5, it was during the pandemic so we couldn’t have a big birthday party like we had promised him.  I asked on social media for anyone that was willing to mail him a birthday card to help make his birthday special.  Two days later, I’m walking our dog through the neighborhood and a truck accelerates toward me.  I jump back and pull the dog out of the road, only to realize that it was Mark, laughing hysterically at making me jump, coming to personally deliver the card to my son.  When he opened it up, there was the sweetest message in it along with a $5 bill for turning the big 5.  I’ll always think of his kindness - and mischievous spirit - when I think of Mark.

To Mark’s family, please accept our deepest condolences and our prayers for comfort and peace as you navigate your grief.

My prayers are with the family. I didn’t know Mark I knew is mother and is Aunt Susan they are my cousins. I am so sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathies to Mark’s family, especially his children. Mark was always a force to be reckoned with. You always knew when he came into our building at The Merchants Walk Home Depot. He would come in with such a big presence. Are we going to do battle today over a planogram or reset or are we all going to break out in laughter over something hilarious he would say or do? He was always a straight shooter no matter what. He was respected and liked and has been missed in our store. Rest in peace Mark. 

Mark always had a way of making you believe in yourself, without actually saying it. He came off strong, his bark was loud. But underneath it all, was the most amazing man/mentor I could have asked for. He helped shape my career, and I’ll forever be grateful for the friendship I ended up with. He never complemented you to your face. But the work load he would give , was enough to know he trusted you. Mark,thank for believing in me. You made a huge impact in my life, my career and my orange blooded heart. I’ll forever be grateful.

Mark, always had a bit of a tough guy kind of perception to him but under that was one of the kindest humans I have ever met. Always full of second opportunities and rooting for the underdogs. 

Mark would also  remind me to be human by making jokes “have you upgraded you Microsoft software” and reminding me to 
watch my resting nice face. 

Mark, you were one of a kind and I am so glad I had the opportunity to work for you and with you. 



I’m forever grateful for Mark and all of his support over the years. 
I am sad and my heart is tearful. There’s always been one thing that I’ll always remember of Mark and his constant reminder. 

“Read the project directions prior to beginning a project and make certain you have everything needed, prior to starting the project”. 

Ps. he used to curse me out when he heard my boisterous laughter in the aisles with performing GS.

Thanks Mark

I had the privilege of working with Mark when I first joined the Atlanta metro district. Mark’s reputation precedes him and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I discovered a great business partner who excelled at taking care of his team and getting things done. Behind the sometimes gruff exterior was a man who deeply cared about his people, had very high standards, and worked hard to be successful. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to know and work with Mark.
