

Born March 30, 1938, in Huntington, West Virginia, Catherine was the daughter of Franklin and Helen Myers. She was a graduate of Huntington High School, where she was Salutatorian. She attended Wittenberg College in Springfield, OH and graduated from Marshall College at age 20. Catherine was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Catherine was a beloved elementary school teacher in West Point, Augusta, and Atlanta, Georgia. She instilled a love of music, drama and art in her students and in her four sons.
In the late 60’s, she formed a coffee shop folk duo in West Point, and in the 70’s, she sang in a madrigal group in Augusta. She served the community by advocating for Civil Rights and leading on the Augusta Opera Board. At First Presbyterian Church at Hilton Head Island, she served as a caregiver in the Stephen Ministry. In whatever city they called home, Catherine loved singing in the church choir alongside her dear husband, Dave. Upon her death, they were members of Alpharetta Presbyterian.
Catherine is survived by her adoring husband, David Remer, and her four sons:
Chris Meadows – wife Marsha, granddaughters Julia Ann, Lacey Haeckel and husband Chris, and Elizabeth, and great granddaughter Charlotte Haeckel.
Todd Meadows – wife Roberta and grandchildren Ellen, Anne Doll and husband Ryan, Hannah, Aubrey, Sheila, and Joseph (deceased).
Scott Meadows – wife Susan and grandchildren Benton and wife Jodee, Peter, Adrian and Laura.
Drew Meadows – wife Nita and grandchildren Asa, Mason, Barrett, Brock (deceased) and Lila Jane.
Catherine is also survived by her three step children:
Susan Luchetti – grandchildren Scott and wife Christine, Ali Ku and husband Simon, and grandson Mason Ku.
Mike Remer – wife Susan and grandchildren Sam, Kate and husband Jonathan Tidwell, Nicole and husband Andrew Michigan, and Shelby. Great grandchildren include Evan, Jake, and Charlie Tidwell and Parker Michigan.

Catherine sought her Lord fervently, loved her family unconditionally, and found great joy in crossword puzzles and the simple things of life. She ran the good race and has now received her reward in heaven as she sings praises to her Creator.
