Mrs. Mary New Marler, age 90 of Marietta, passed away August 5, 2011. Mrs. Marler, affectionately known as "Bubba" to her family and friends, was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Smyrna.
Mrs. Marler was preceded in death by her beloved husband B.J. Marler. She is survived by her sons Ernest Marler and wife Martha of Marietta, Doug Marler and wife Pam of Smyrna; brother Ernest New Jr. and wife Blanche; sisters Edith Brown and Dot Bennett and husband Lee; brother-in-law Russell Lester; sisters-in-law Dot Marler and Ruth Frazier; grandchildren Todd Marler and wife Dannell and Kyle Marler; and great-grandchildren Wilson and Blake Marler.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Phillips and Rev. Eric Lee officating. The family will receive friends from 2-6 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the funeral home.
