Michael F Murray

Mr. Michael F. Murray, 74, of Marietta, GA passed away March 29, 2014. He was born to the late Frank and Jeanette Murray on February 24, 1940 in Battle Creek, MI. After his graduation from high school, Michael attended Notre Dame University where he received his Business Degree. He then attended the University of Akron and received his Law Degree. While he was in law school, he worked for Goodyear in Akron Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Patricia. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, was an avid golfer and bridge player, coached his sons' sports teams, and, with his loving wife, was involved in Marriage Encounter at the Catholic Church of St. Ann's as well as other parishes in Ohio. Michael enjoyed a career spanning over 35 years as a corporate lawyer for the Babcock & Wilcox Corporation, but he took the most pride in his faith and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert Murray. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Patricia Murray, sons, David Murray (Catherine), Stephen Murray (Angela) and Kevin Murray (Kelly), grandchildren, Caroline, Jack, Katherine, Lindsay, Gracie, Ashlei and Alexandra Murray, brothers, Thomas and Joseph Murray and sister, Kathleen Buck. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:30am at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, Marietta. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6-8pm, with a prayer service to begin at 7:30pm, at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill, Marietta.
