Mildred "Millie" Fincher Black

Mrs. Mildred Fincher Black, also known as “Millie”, age 81 of Jasper, GA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 in Canton, GA. Millie was Spectacular mother and was a CARETAKER to many. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed taking care of her family and others. Millie was a firm believer in GOD and enjoyed the Shepard's Chapel in Greeley, AR. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe Black; son, William Don Black of Woodstock, GA; 2 daughters, Marla Culpepper of Jasper and Genette Waddell of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jason Culpepper, Johnathan Culpepper, Amanda Culpepper, Hayden Waddell, Kell Waddell and Rhya Jones; great-grandchildren, Vivian Culpepper, Ashten Waddell and Lenny Jones. A service to celebrate Millie’s life will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm the Jerusalem Community Center, 2681 Jerusalem Church Road, Jasper, GA 30143. Reception will follow at Joe and Millie’s home located at 2747 Jerusalem Church Road, Jasper, GA 30143. The family kindly request donations to support Millie’s son-in-law, Kevin Culpepper, as he continues his difficult battle with cancer. The funds will be used to assist with medical bills and to aid further cancer research.
