

Olga Henderson passed away in Marietta Georgia on the morning of May 23rd at the age of 102. She was born in Munhall, PA on January 12, 1923, the first child of Anna and Andrew Foster. She grew up on Marigold Street with her parents, her brother, Johnny, and her two sisters, Emily and Mamie.
After graduation from high school, Olga took a secretarial position with the Westinghouse Corporation, where she worked for nine years. In 1950 she married her husband, Wilson (Skip) Henderson. They bought a house on Woodhill Drive, where they lived for 60 years. Olga devoted her life to creating a warm and loving home for Skip and their two children, Allan and Janet. Skip passed away in 2011, and Olga continued to live in their home until November 2020, when she made the decision to move to Marietta GA, to be closer to family.
Olga was very involved in the life of her church, St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, and she served as President of the local AARP group for many years. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, bowling, going to Wildwood NJ with family for summer vacations, taking bus trips with Skip and their many friends, and going to visit her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Olga Henderson was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Andrew Foster, her brother John Foster, and by her sisters Emily Danscak and Mary Ribic. She is survived by her son, Allan Henderson (Meg) of Marietta GA and by her daughter Janet Niehaus (Dan) of Easley SC. Also left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren, Colin and Jessica Henderson of Marietta GA, Emily and Neil Konouchi of Nashville TN, Blake and Emily Henderson of Smyrna GA, James Niehaus of Apex NC, Joseph and Zoe Niehaus of Albany NY, and Kevin and Misuzu Sakai of Japan. Olga is also survived by her 9 great-grandchildren: Mia Henderson (16), Margot Henderson (13), Foster Henderson (8), Lewis Henderson (5), Andrew Niehaus (13), Eleanor Niehaus (11), Anna Niehaus (5 ), Sena Sakai ( 3), and Mei Sakai (1).
Visitation will be on Friday, June 6th, from 9am - 11am at St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, 903 Ann Street, Homestead PA, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Internment will immediately follow at St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Cemetery in West Mifflin. Arrangements entrusted to Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall PA.
