Mr. Oscar H. Howard, age 92 of Marietta, passed away November 2, 2011. Mr. Howard worked as a flight officer for the Air Force and was retired from the FAA as a Air Traffic Controller. In addition to his love for golfing and bowling, Mr. Howard was a longtime member of Holt Road Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Mrs. Martha F. Howard; stepson H.C. Robinson of Austell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 3:00pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Harold Olson and Paul Russell officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holt Road Baptist Church, 675 Holt Rd. NE Marietta, GA 30068.
