

Patricia was a pillar of determination with an impassioned Ukrainian spirit. She was born to an immigrant family in Sewaren, New Jersey on September 1, 1945. She moved to Matawan, New Jersey where she had two children, Christopher and Scott Shigas. Following the death of her youngest child, she mustered her dauntless and independent courage to begin a new life in Marietta, Georgia.
By working during the day and attending University classes at night, she achieved her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgia State University. She used her nursing skills to serve her country in the United States Army as a Captain.
She met Robert Henry through their mutual love for ballroom dancing and married in 1996. In addition to ballroom dancing, she loved her grandchildren, Mt. Bethel Church, tennis, and proudly completed the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race.
Mrs. Henry is predeceased by her parents Peter and Rose Elisko, her son Scott Shigas, and her sisters Christine Landi and Valerie Hollus.
She is survived by her husband Robert Henry, son Christopher Shigas, and grandchildren Haley Shigas, Jacob Shigas, Cameron Shigas, and Caroline Shigas.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road Marietta, GA 30068. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Contemporary Sunday School Class at Mt. Bethel Church (Select Memorials and add Contemporary SS Class in the note section).
