Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia Ann Johnson (Spencer) passed away quietly at 10pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Otis Charles Johnson, her three children: Richard Johnson, David Johnson, and Linda Peterson, and their families.

Pat was born on February 19, 1933 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Milo C. Spencer and Winona M. Spencer. She was one of five children and the last surviving. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, Ohio, class of 1951 She worked briefly for DuPont in Toledo, Ohio.

She met Charles in 1956 and married in 1957. In 1964 she, Charles, and the two boys moved to Lakeland, Florida before finally settling in Marietta, Georgia in 1968. There she raised the family and worked for J.C. Penney for several years and finished her career as a para-professional at Sope Creek Elementary School in 1993.

Pat always enjoyed reading and dabbled in music with the piano and had a special place in her heart for Boston Terrier dogs all named Bing or something beginning with the letter “T”: Taffy, Tasha, Tippy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 10:00 AM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. David Chauncey officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made as a memorial gift in the name of Patricia Johnson to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
