Patrick Frank Plumb

Patrick Frank Plumb passed on September 14, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on August 22, 1951, in Danville, Patrick lived in Jonesboro, Georgia. Patrick Frank Plumb was a man known for his honesty, confidence, kindness, and willingness to learn. He lived his life with a strong sense of responsibility and was always willing to lend a hand or be there for anyone in need. To Patrick, some of his greatest accomplishments were found in his work, his service to his country, and, most importantly, his family.

Patrick later made his home in Grove City, Ohio, where he graduated from Grove City High School before attending The Ohio State University. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Columbus, Ohio.

Proudly following in his father’s footsteps, Patrick carried forward a strong tradition of hard work and dedication. He built a distinguished career with the Federal Railroad Administration, ultimately serving as Regional Administrator in Atlanta. His commitment, work ethic, and dedication were evident throughout his many years of service.

Before beginning his professional career, Patrick proudly served his country as a United States Marine. His military service reflected the courage, discipline, and dedication that remained an important part of his character throughout his life.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoyed the things that brought him joy and allowed him to spend time with others. He loved playing golf, working on cars, and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. Golf held a particularly special place in his heart, and one of his memorable accomplishments was earning a place in the PGA record for a hole-in-one—a remarkable achievement and a moment he could be especially proud of. Patrick also shared his love of sports with young people, serving as soccer coach for the Lakeland Tigers for five years while working for the Florida Department of Transportation.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Francis H. and Maxine J. Plumb, and his sister, Julia Beth Llewellyn.

He is survived by his son, Joseph P. Plumb; his daughter, Elizabeth D. Plumb, and her husband, Jacob; his brothers, Michael Plumb and David Plumb; as well as extended family and many friends who will forever cherish the memories they made with him.

Patrick will be remembered for his honesty, generous spirit, willingness to help others, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He never hesitated to be there when someone needed him. His kindness, dedication, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

The family will recieve friends on October 2, 2026 from 2 pm until 4 pm at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill.
