

Richard (Dick) William Coultrip, formerly from Marietta, GA died March 20, 2016 at the age of 85. Richard graduated from Northwestern University, served in the Marines during the Korean War and worked for General Electric for 37 years. Before retiring he was Manager of Operations for 13 years in Cleveland, Ohio. Richard was an avid gardener and his garden was featured on several garden tours. Interested in family genealogy, he was the author of “One Tree-Many Branches, Coultrip, Coultrup, Colthup Families”. The book is in the Library of Congress. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Elizabeth, 5 children: Christine Coultrip, Marilyn Bannon (Tom), Nancy Dawes (Mark), Robert Coultrip (Christine), Ann Travis (Todd); seven grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, and brother Raymond L. Coultrip (Ann). Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 4814 Papermill Rd. Marietta, GA 30067, with the Reverend David Helfrich officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
