

A native of Tennessee, he was born August 28, 1930 in Chattanooga to Robert Eli Brown, Sr. and Jessie A. Young Brown.
He and his bride, Betty Rogers Brown moved to Georgia in 1950 and began working at Lockheed Georgia Company in Marietta, she as a nurse, he as a machinist. In his lengthy tenure of 41 years, he rose through the ranks and became manager of fabrication planning. He retired in 1990 and he and his wife began traveling extensively.
For the last 2 years, Bob has been a resident at Presbyterian Village. During his time there he was an enthusiastic member of their Choir, participated in all activities with excitement and passion. His cheerful bass voice and hearty welcome of all will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Melanie Trayser(husband Buck) and Teresa Bennett, two grandsons Eli and Jonathan, three siblings Odessa Brown of Mentone, AL, Edward Brown (Wife Carol) of Manchester, TN and Carl Brown (Wife Pat) of Marietta, GA.
The funeral will be held at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home in Marietta, GA Saturday, June 17. The family will receive visitors June 17 12n – 2p. The service will follow at 2 PM.
