Robert J. Buck

Mr. Robert “Bob” Buck, age 87 passed away peacefully in his sleep July 19, 2010. Bob was born in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1975. He graduated from Garden City High School and Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts .Mr. Buck was retired from the U.S. Navy reserves, as a officer, after 20 plus years of honorable service. He worked as a vice-president for the advertising agency formally known as Dancer-Fitzgerald Sample. He worked many marketing positions until finally retiring from Coca-Cola as a Director of Marketing. He is survived by his wife Ruth Burns Buck, daughter Catherine Buck Leary and her husband Paul and their son Ian Leary and his son Liam Leary, sons Andrew J. Buck and his wife Maria and their children, Christopher Buck and Diana Buck; and Paul Buck and his wife Mary and their children Jonathan Buck and Brittany Buck; sister Jane Buck Hellawell. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. A funeral service will be Friday, July 23 2010 at 10:00am at St. Peter & St. Paul Episcopal Church at 1795 Johnson Ferry Rd in Marietta. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Bob’s name to American Parkinson’s Disease Association, Atlanta Chapter P.O. Box 49416, Atlanta, GA 30359.
