I was Bob's other next door neighbor, living just to the left of his house.   My family and I lived next to him for a combined 29 years.   I first met Bob when I was 11 years old.   He would always come to the fence and give me advice about life and I would always listen.    As a teenager, I definitely tested his patience. Like the time when I accidentally shot a firework at his house, breaking his window and waking he, Diane and his dog out of a deep sleep.   Or the time we started a giant fire in our backyard, causing the fire department and police to show up at our house. Bob was always very professional and while he would let you know he was disappointed, he would never lose his cool.  In fact, Bob always reminded me of John Wayne.  Later in life when I would come home to visit my parents, I would see Bob in the backyard and would always speak with him.  He would give me advice on business and I would listen to everything he had to say. He always gave the best advice.  I miss you Bob and I know you are now with the Lord.

Our condolences to Diane on the recent loss of her husband Bob.  He was a great neighbor and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  We always enjoyed seeing him and talking to him.

Bob Dudley was someone who cared.  I always enjoyed our talks together - be it about politics, business or whatever else came to mind. He always had something to say about Diane, too, which usually resulted in a laugh.  Bob, we will miss you.  Tom Weyand

Thank you for the wisdom and advise you shared with us throughout the years. I wish I could have spent more time with you. I will always remember our trip to the flight museum here in Washington and the model airplane that you bought for me. I had a heck of a time putting that thing together but it's a memory I will never forget. You came to Washington when my father passed and I don't think you ever knew just how much that meant to me. God has plans for everyone and I can only imagine the plans he must have for you. You will be missed but never forgotten. We will all meet again but until then you are always in our thoughts and prayers......love and miss you!!!

I was very lucky to have spent vacation with Uncle Bob. He had some wonderful words of wisdom, I really did listen. I enjoyed you and Aunt Diane, such a beautiful couple. I know you will always be in our hearts. I love you

My Uncle Bob was a wise and caring man. I did not get to know him as I wanted, the miles between us. But I know he enjoyed visiting us when he was here in Washington.  I know you will be missed Uncle Bob. I know you sit with the Angels now. Love you

We have never known a time when "Mr Dudley" wasn't next door. He was a kind and patient neighbor with our two wild and loud boys growing up right beside him and Diane. Bob was a Patriot and he loved his country; the American flag always on the mailbox. We remember Bob as the dignified white haired gentleman next door and we will miss him, and his friendship, very much.
