Robert E Fontana

Robert Edward Fontana “Bob” age 71 passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday June 25, 2025. Bob was born In New York April 30, 1954 the son of Joseph and Margaret Fontana. He spent his childhood and the first 32 years of his life in Bayside, NY and moved to Atlanta in 1986. He graduated from Benjamin N Cardozo High School with Honors. He was accepted to Columbia University and NYU but chose St John’s University. Bob was extremely smart and a very kind soul.

Bob’s favorite interests were sports of any kind. He followed every sport and knew all facts and details of any event. He was also a very good bowler with an incredibly smooth curve ball. He also liked to play the game of Billiards. Bob was also a talented piano player growing up and loved music very much. He and his sister Carol shared the love of all things music. Bob also had a passion for current events and would keep us up to date on things transpiring in the world.

Bob is preceded in death by his loving parents Margaret Fontana and Joseph Fontana. He is survived by his devoted sister Carol Fontana- Gilbert and Brother-in-law Bruce Gilbert.

A Celebration of Life will take place in August with more details to follow. Bob was a good man and will be so missed by family and friends. Rest in Peace dear Bob
