Soon after graduation she married Arthur Franklin Loewy and managed their household, living all over the United States while Art was in the US Army, and later as he worked for various corporations, while raising their 3 children.
Roberta also graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey with a teaching degree. After moving to Amherst, New York she led her own home Interior Decorating business for several years, drawing on her deep experience decorating the many homes she lived in over the years.

Roberta enjoyed reading and studying Christian books and tapes, solving puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She often went for a stroll in the evenings. She could be found daily having tea time in the afternoon, enjoying her tea and cookies, and equal servings of cake and ice cream.
