

Roland Keith Rodum died August 24, 2014 at the age of 87. Rolly spent his early years in Backus, MN and the Twin Cities. He served honorably in the Army Air Corps in the Philippines during WWII. He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota and worked as an engineer with Lockheed for several years. In later years he worked at his local Publix supermarket and was loved by his coworkers and regular customers. He is survived by his wife Eva, brother David of Marietta, GA, sister Diana of Chevy Chase, MD, brother John Muller of Park Rapids, MN, daughters Elyse Krejce and husband Joe of St. Paul, MN, Karen DiDomenicis and husband Fran of Hercules, CA, grandchildren Jeff, Jaclyn, Michele and Joe and great grandchildren, all of MN, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Georgia Melby. Rolly had a lifelong passion for music, an obsession for perfecting his lawn, an enjoyment of puzzles, and a genuine interest in everyone he met.
