Born October 15, 1927 in Savannah, Ga. Daughter of Mr and Mrs O.E. Cooper of Albany, Ga. She had 2 brothers Bobby and Earl Cooper. She was raised and educated in Albany, Ga. She married Stephen Monroe Land Sr in June of 1947. Rosalyn worked as a proofreader for Curtis 1000 until she retired in 1993. She was an active member of New Victoria Baptist Church in Woodstock, Ga where she was loved and admired by all. Her passion was teaching children about the loud and showing God's love to the babies.
She is survived by 3 children Stephen Monroe Land Jr, Lynette Land Myers, and Michael Cooper Land. 5 grandchildren Stephanie Land, Nicholas Land, Chris Myers, Erin Myers, Melanie Myers. 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her husband and daughter Kathryn Land Pelley.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held, Friday, February 28th, 2014, at 2:00pm, in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. The family will receive friends, from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock, Thursday evening, in the funeral home. Interment will be on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
