

Rosebud Williams Blount, 95, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on May 5, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1930, in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Leo and Gertrude Hall-Williams. She had four siblings, who proceeded her in death. After high school graduation, she was accepted at Fort Valley State College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics.
Rosebud met her husband, Promise, at Fort Valley State College and on August 25, 1950, they were married and moved to Detroit, Michigan where they had only one child, Terri Linda. The couple were married for 58 years and resided in Detroit, Michigan for 41 years. She worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 33 years and after retiring, the couple moved to Marietta, Georgia.
She enjoyed playing bridge 2-3 times weekly and was part of a bridge club of more than 150 plus members. She truly loved Kobe, her little silky terrier. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter, with many travels to Mexico, The Riviera Maya, taking a Viking River Cruise to Paris, France traveling the Seine River and visiting many locations with her Timeshares. She is survived by her only daughter, Terri Linda Blount-Gunn, family and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
