

Sara Jean Gossett Lambert, 86, of Marietta, passed away November 22, 2015. She was born in Palmetto, GA on January 16, 1929 to parents, Annie Mae and Robert Otis Barnes. Sara was the Vice President of Roy D. Warren, a mortgage loan company. She was a long time member of the Atlanta Business Women’s Association and served several different offices and administrative positions with them. In addition to being a business woman, she was a family woman. Sara loved to laugh with family, and was very involved with her grandchildren. She delighted in her grandchildren’s individual interest in Baseball, Football, and music. Sara enjoyed everything about cooking, preparing meals for her family, and also watching television shows on the cooking channel. She was the great organizer of family events, and loved making lists to make sure everything was just right for everyone. She didn’t stop until everything was the way she wanted it to be. She loved her dog, Sam, and even cooked him 3 meals a day. Sara was also a traveler, taking trips all over the place with her senior group. She also enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, and gardening. Most of all, Sara was a fighter, and she never gave up. She is survived by; daughters Ann (John) Stephens and Sandy (Danny) Rogers; grandchildren, Matt Stephens, Mason Bradley, and Casey Rogers; and brother, Bobby (Pat) Barnes. She was preceded in death by 1st husband, Howard Gossett, and second husband, James Lambert. A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted at H.M. Patterson & Sons, Canton Hill Chapel on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00P.M. with visitation held 1 hour prior to the service.
