Teresa was a one of my favorite people. We met January 2, 1990 at work.  She and I shared many memories. Loved watching her fall in love with Kenny. Sharing concerns for our kids and animals.
I enjoyed taking pictures of plants in my yard and calling her to see what it was called. I knew there was an app for that and her telling me what it was. We had many shared birthday lunches together. I will miss Teresa my sister from another Mother.  I will continue to talk with her.  She was a great listener ❤️

Teresa was not just my sister-in-law, she was a friend. I worked with her at AON on several projects and she taught me a lot. She was always helpful to me and was always a team player. I loved the way she loved her family and always put them first. She was a great sister- in- law, mother, wife and friend. I will truly miss her. Rest now in peace with our Lord. ❤️

Mom always enjoyed the boat rides. Riding around and dreaming about the houses on the lakeside. Picking out which ones we would live in and which ones we thought could've done a better job at embracing the view from their lot.

Or just speeding around with family and seeing the joy on their faces. She always loved seeing everyone have fun. Our joy brought her joy.

This was our last trip together. I came down to Georgia this past July and we took a trip as a family through the North Georgia Mountains. With a special stop at Mark of the Potter.

Mom and I sat on the back porch overlooking this waterfall for a while. I'm glad I got to spend that time with you. I miss you Mom.

Mom and I had special side trips every now and then. This was one of them. When we went to see Jason's Graduation in Maryland; we took a side trip to tour Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright.

We both loved houses and nature. I will always enjoy our special connection.

It is so hard to put into words our love for you!  You were an amazing mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.  We have so many special memories of great times with you.  Here are some of our favorite memories: creating a magical fairy garden, backyard campfires and sparklers, counting frog figures in your garden, ordering ice cream from the ice cream boat, Christmas traditions, and crafting all day!  

You are so greatly missed, and we will cherish these memories and your love forever. We find comfort in knowing that you are at peace and surrounded by love and that one day we will be reunited with you in heaven.  Until then, we will cherish these memories and always carry your love with us.

One of Teresa's favorite outings with me and/or the boys were the day hikes to the waterfalls in North Georgia. We both really enjoyed photographing the falls and plants along the trails. Being outdoors with her family was her happy place by far...

My Mom and I baked these cookies every year for Christmas. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies. I will forever cherish these memories. I will miss baking with you Mom.

This photo makes me smile every time. We were on our way to Aspen when we came upon snow after crossing the Pass. This was a little stop where we all got out to take pictures.

Teresa and I went to Westhampton Junior High, John F. Kennedy High School and the University of Virginia together. We only lived a few blocks apart and had lots of adventures over the years. We were also active members of St Paul’s Church Youth Group. I remember we had a couple of Youth Group yard sales at the Gossett’s and Teresa’s mom jumped in and helped. I always felt welcome in her home and remember her parents and Danette fondly. Wishing you peace in thinking of her special life, Garnett Dunford Hamerman

 A  friend, a kindred spirit for love of nature, the joy of planning and nurturing lush gardens to lift spirits ( well, once the weeding done).  I so appreciate Teresa's  friendship and influence from the time we first met.
My prayers that you are comforted with so many wonderful memories, and feel Teresa's presence all around you in every bloom,  breeze and ray of sunshine. ❤️

My sister, Teresa was a great sister and friend. It is hard for me to find the words to share what she meant to me. 

If you knew my sister, you knew that she threw herself into the things she loved. Family, Friends, Gardening and Christmas! It was her favorite holiday. And it was mine too when I was able to share it with her and our family. She was the person who brought the Christmas magic into our lives each year with her endless decorations and magnificent holiday table settings.

She had the proverbial green thumb and I loved her garden and always asked for tips. Unfortunately, I was never able to acquire the green thumb that she had. But will forever think of her when I try to coax my garden into flourishing. 

We did enjoy reading and for many years, she, our mom and I would share books.  We would laugh that we would both curl up with our dogs and read on a quiet afternoon. 

I took the lead in taking care of our parents these last few years. And I would call her after visits and make her laugh with stories of the antics of taking them to doctors appointments or comments they made. Just yesterday, I got in the car and started to call. Only to realize that I have lost that confidante and friend that I shared these visits with. 

I was so proud of how hard she fought the cancer for so many years. Now, she doesn’t have to fight any longer and she is at peace.

I will miss her.

Teresa often spoiled me and the boys, and the pets were no exception, as you can see from our last pet, Leia.

If you know my family you know we love spending time on the water! We enjoyed several family vacation on Smith Mountain Lake and many trips to Allatoona. The grandkids Toby and Brooke loved getting towed in the ski biscuit. Teresa always made sure we enjoyed as much family time as possible in the outdoors.

Another favorite family trip was going to Charleston to visit Teresa's parents Bob & Charlie, we often went to the beaches and fishing pier on James Island, plus going down town to the trade market area for dinner. Such great memories!

One of our favorite trips was going to Colorado to see Jeremy and Chad. We loved touring the Rockies, such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the family time, and the scenery.

Teresa was a wonderful friend and colleague!  She had an incredible work ethic and made work fun.  Teresa created the most beautiful landscape plan for me that was easy to implement in phases and me and my parents enjoy the bumble bees, butterfly’s and the birds as a result each season. I receive so many compliments on my landscaping and when I look at the beauty it reminds me of Teresa.  She is deeply missed and I am keeping Kenny and the entire family in my prayers for rest, peace and comfort during this difficult time. Hold on to the wonderful memories!  Rest in peace beautiful sweet Teresa.

Although we met only briefly, I knew everything I needed to know through Chad. And much like her son, her presence was felt long before she entered a room. 

To the Murray family, our journeys are far from complete. Our Mom’s fulfilled their sacred duties. And as we move through this grief you’ll see their humaneness. You’ll realize they once were in the very position you’re standing now; the woman behind the title:

For Teresa the absolute best time of the year was when the family gathered for Christmas to celebrate the season and to enjoy each others company. She always ensured the house was decorated and it was a magical time of the year, Christmas will never be the same without her... We miss you already

To the family of Teresa Gossett Murray, my name is Earl Andrews. I was President of Teresa's 1974 John F. Kennedy High School graduating class - Richmond VA. We also graduated from the University of Virginia in 1978 together with our mutual high school classmates Garnett Dunford-Hamerman, Carol Graves, and Nina Chong. I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest sympathy to you in light of Teresa's passing. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

One of our favorite vacation spots was Captiva FL. Teresa loved walking on the beach and collecting shells, plus we always drove through JN "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. It was always an awesome trip!

Dear Kenny, Jason, Jeremy, Chad and Danette,
I am so sorry for your loss of Teresa. She was such a wonderful, kind and generous woman.  She shared her passion for gardening with me and encouraged me to join the garden club. Thanks to her and the beautiful plants she so generously shared, my garden has grown into something truly special.
She was also incredibly smart and organized-qualities I always admired and aspired to have myself! I loved working alongside her on plant sales and other projects. She brought  so much knowledge, enthusiasm and joy to everything she did. 
Teresa certainly left her mark on me and so many others. I deeply admired the strength and  determination she  showed in fighting her cancer all the way to the end! 
I hope you will find comfort in knowing how many lives she touched and how fondly she will be remembered. May she now rest in peace!
