Ginny was born in Detroit, MI on January 1, 1924 to Carl & Freda Leithauser. She attended the University of Detroit where she majored in Chemistry. While there, she met and married the late Alfred Carzoli in 1944 and together they raised 6 children. Upon Alfred's retirement from Allstate in 1982, they moved from Chicago, IL to Hilton Head, SC where they lived until her relocation to Marietta, GA last year. She and Alfred enjoyed 61 years of marriage until his passing on October 9, 2005.
Ginny was an avid golfer, bridge player and enjoyed entertaining retirees by playing her keyboard as part of a local trio in Hilton Head. She was a loving and supportive mother to her children and involved herself in all aspects of their lives, helping them with school work, teenage heartaches, and the occasional missteps as adults and adjusting to 7 relocations.
Ginny is survived by four sons, Terry, Tom, Bud and Jim; two daughters, Patti Reale and Marianne Candeli; 13 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, two sisters, Alice Krause and Rita Law; and a brother, James Leithauser.
