Virginia Shimer Rybski, 57, of Marietta, GA, passed away May 8, 2013. She was born May 1, 1956, to the late George and Veronica Shimer in Nutley, NJ. After graduation from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, NC, she received a BS from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and an MHA from the University of Phoenix. As a scientist, marketing expert and entrepreneur, Virginia worked for and founded several companies in NJ, MA, MD, and CA before becoming the President & CEO of Regenesis Biomedical, Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ.
Virginia mastered her life’s motto “celebration” through a wide variety of activities with family, friends and business associates. Whether raising children, playing tennis, skiing, dancing, gardening, boating, taking care of pets and aging family members, or perfecting her professional goals, she did so with an enthusiastic and contagious joy.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Rybski, daughters, Olivia Alexandra Rybski and Savannah Mae Rybski, brother, Skip Shimer (Sheryl), sister, Pamela O’Brien (Tom) and nephew, Loehl O’Brien. A 2:00 pm funeral mass will be held Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Catholic Church of St. Ann. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 9, from 6:00-8:00pm at H.M.
